Pupils often try to study abroad. But I see maximum of them are unaware of necessary steps to be taken. Actually it is very important to clear few exams so that you can be considered as eligible to achieve the Visa to study abroad and work simultaneously. The major countries that require these tests are: Australia, USA, Great Britain, France, Canada, Germany, Italy, New Zealand and few more European countries. The standard exams to be cleared in this case are: TOEFL, GRE, IELTS, GMAT, SAT, CAT, OET, and IBT. Let us discuss a little about them:

TOEFL is the abbreviation for Test of English as a Foreign Language. In this exam, the proficiency in the language of English of a student is tested. The basic idea behind this exam is to test if the personnel is eligible to communicate (it includes writing, listening, speaking and reading) with English in the foreign country.

GRE is an abbreviation for the test called ‘graduate record examination’. You require passing this examination whether you are seeking admission for graduate or post graduate or doctorate programs abroad. It is mainly an online aptitude test. Your quantitative, analytical writing assessment skills as well as the verbal skills are tested through this examination.

GMAT is the abbreviation of ‘Graduate Management Admission Test’. This test is conducted to check the basic management skill of a student. The basic management skills include quantitative and mathematical skills, analytical writing skills, and the verbal skill are tested through this exam

IELTS is an abbreviation for International English Language Testing System. This test is meant for testing the writing, reading, listening and speaking skills of the student in English language.
